Rolling with the homies
There is undoubtedly a special kind of communication going on between animals, I can go on a morning walk alone and all the dogs seem happy to just chill inside until their owners let them out. When Dash is with me, which is most of the time, it’s almost as if the first dog posts on a WhatsApp group that “Dash is out”. You can hear them barking and howling desperate for their owners to open up and let them out before we even reach their fence. This is usually followed by races up and down the fence a few times until we are off to the next. Dash must easily clock in about 4x the distance as I do, on our morning walks. I have been told by some neighbours that their dogs even have a special kind of bark signalling, set us free, Dash is on his way.
