Only you

With my boys getting to an age of spending lots of time with their friends, you kind of get the feeling that they might not want to engage with you as much as they used to. I find it quite heart warming that regardless of how busy things have been for my boys they always are super excited to take me along to show me the adventures they encountered throughout their day, often urging me to try out some activity that they have discovered or created. As much as we sometimes think that our children are happier with their friends, I believe what they truly yearn for is more undistracted, quality playtime with their parents. It’s hard to drop the adulting mask and enter into their playbook but the times I have, were super rewarding.
