Redemption

I found a gem of a place today, Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. I ended up taking so many good photographs of sculptures which seemed to be mostly created by Anton Smit. It’s one of those days where there was so much to choose from that it was hard to choose which photograph to post. This one spoke to me the most as it was taken at the most spectacular timing. It had started to rain and it looked almost as if this sculpture was standing there worshiping and giving thanks to his higher power for the blessing of the downpour, perhaps even reaching a point of surrender or redemption. It was a magical moment for me too as I watched the rain drops fall from his hands and took in the view, it was from this spot that I was able to take in the magnificence of the surroundings and really appreciate the the beauty of the park.
