Origins

Wow I did try look back into the history of photography to try share some chronological facts in this post but found myself rather apathetic. It seems a bit strange as photography is something I am fascinated by, but for me its about the current technology and the manner in which I can use it to express myself or how I see the world. I get the reasoning behind studying the history of art or photography to learn from and how certain trends or genre’s formed over the years or for various other reasons, but if we all learn the same stories, how do we truly develop our unique styles without a generic influence. Perhaps it’s drawing influence from all the different styles over the years and blending them into your own mix of magic.

Im starting to question how relevant history is in today’s age as past stories have for the most part, led to division and polarised beliefs amongst people. I wonder how humans would interact with one another if worldwide they all had their memories flashed and all remnants or stories of the past were erased. Would there still be bitterness and resentment? I’m sure there would be arguments but those arguments would have no baggage and the only fuel would be the current issue, no bringing up past matters or generational feuds and just dealing with the now.
