Shooting in the wind

Walking through the veld I discovered this wild flower, it was quite unique and the only one of its kind on our property. Really wanting to photograph it but also needing to nail the first frame proved quite challenging as it was blowing around in the breeze. I found myself timing the gusts as surfers would count the waves in the ocean, trying to predict when there would be just the right moment. I made sure my shutter speed was high at 1/2000 of a second and managed to capture this beautifully sharp image.
