Remnants
I fondly remember building this bridge in our garden, my son had just acquired a rock crawling RC car and was looking to build a track for it. We went to wood shop and collected a bunch of offcuts, ripped them into thin strips and got to work on the construction. We cut the strips to length and fastened them together with a nail gun. As with many things, the thrill wears off and the once busy bridge is now getting consumed by the shrubs. It was worth the effort and the time spent creating with my boys, I would have liked them to continue to create a larger track by themselves but that was not the case. I look forward to the day when they call me and say “dad look what we built all by ourselves”.
