Natures Art

I get so excited in the evenings as sunset arrives, I sometimes wait in anticipation to see what mother nature has in store. The displays can be nothing short of spectacular, over the years I have captured so many cell phone shots of the artistry but have never been able to replicate the effect that I see with my own eyes. I was a bit late on the draw this afternoon but managed to capture this ray of light shining up through the sky. It was shot handheld with a 1/8 sec exposure, I found myself walking away in gratitude for the camera and lens that I have as without the built in stabilisation, this shot would have not been possible.
