Persistence

What started as a bed design for my bedroom ended up in so much more. I built this bed with the intention of replacing the existing one in my bedroom and then using the existing one as a spare bed in the guest room. Well things don’t always work out as planned but sometimes they work out for the better. To cut a long story short, with a bit of influence from Natanya this bed ended up staying in the guest bedroom and we ended up with a king sized bed in our room, also built by myself. It took us some time to finally get this room complete but we systematically chipped away at it when we could and this is the result. The room is a mix of our styles and talents and although we have no experience in interior design I think we managed to pull off a warm welcoming place rest. Natanya’s artwork above the bed was made with offcuts from the actual bed, a nice blend of his and hers.
