The Worker Bee

Arguably one of the most important contributors to the survival of human and animal life on earth, the worker bee gets on with its job of cross pollinating up to 60% of plant life across the globe. They are under threat due to all the insecticides and pesticides used in modern day commercial farming practices, however there has been a large movement for the preservation of the honey bee and worldwide many sanctuaries exist where they can get on with their very important jobs safely. While life without them would not be completely lost we would loose a large variety of foods. Im happy to see that they have found sanctuary in our beautiful estate with one colony even finding a home under a rock on our property.
