Safe space

Im not really sure what it is about thunder or lightning that unsettles animals. I can’t quite put my finger on as why Dash has recently developed a bit of a fear for loud bangs, he wasn’t always fearful of storms. I have also wondered whether dogs pick it up from their owners, if their owners are unsettled in situations then perhaps the animals pick up on the energy and also feel unsafe. It is now a habit for Dash to come and sit the feet of my desk in times when he is feeling a little unsure and in need of a bit of extra love.
