Don’t plan everything
If everything in life was meticulously planned down to every detail, would there be any room left for the excitement of the unknown? Of my extensive travels in South Africa I could say that a large portion of them were unplanned. Of course I made sure I had everything I needed to complete the journey but I usually would start with a general idea of where I was heading but I would let the route and experiences be my guide. If a small town I was passing through felt right, then thats where I would stay. If I had wanted to stay over in a certain place and it didn’t draw me in, I would pass through. As I would meet locals along the way, they would share their wisdom sometimes sending me off in a different direction to the one I had envisioned. This gave my travels character and memories that I might not have had if I had stuck to the path. Today’s image was the result of me just moving around and taking random images for about 30min without giving too much thought or planing to what I wanted. I ended up with these interesting reflections that transition down the wooden table, not possible right? Using the shiny kitchen counter top as a mirror I created this reflection and effect, unplanned.
